Airtel has also jumped in the HD Arena by launching its DigitalTV HD services, initially they are providing only ESPN sports channel in HD and has plans to provide Discovery HD in the coming future. Official website of DigitalTV HD is now live but there is no mention of Discovery HD and National Geographic HD channels as of now.
Airtel Digital TV HD Price
Airtel DigitalTV HD STB is available at a starting price of Rs 2940 which entitles you a 75 days economy pack (135 channels) along with ESPN HD upto 12th July.
Airtel DigitalTV HD with Megapack and Ultrapack are also available for Rs 3240 and Rs 5700 respectively. (Megapack has 155 channels while Ultrapack has 161 channels)

yesterday i have changed my Airtel HD Box, before exchanging they told they will not get a single paisa for current HD and future HD channels.
but today i called the customer care to activate the HD channels,
i came to know they have already taken Rs 100 from my account for HD channels alone and they also confirmed for Each HD channels they will charge Rs 100.
And they also confirmed if we want to see ESPN HD channels we have to activate for normal ESPN channels so they are taking money two times for viewing single channel.
I HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITH AIRTEL FOR LAST 1.2 YEARS WITH MY EXPERINCE AIRTEL CUSTOMER PEOPLE ARE VERY RUDE AND NOT CAPABLE OR NOT TRAINED WELL TO ANSWER THE QUESTONS.
My suggestion don’t purchase the airtel HD or SD box, they are marketing way is very tempting to purchase the HD or SD box but it vast of money and time.

Airtel people can only give some fake assurance it seems. Airtel Engineers came to my house to install my set up box took Rs 200 for extended wires. Once again airtel carged me for the same. You won’t receive signal in case of lil drizzle or even the weather is not too bad (e.g. windy). If you ask people Can you fix the disk properly they will say this is how it is. I have a tata sky at my home as well from last 4 years. I never face any sort of problem. Customer care is very nice. If you call airtel customer care your call will be dropped at least 4-5 times then if you are lucky you might get into in another 4-5 attempts. You can not give more than one request at a time (e.g. add a channel or remove NOT add & remove or NOT adding two top ups). Even if you add a channel today in the website then it will be only take care the next day. Lot of improvements needed from airtel guys. I am really dissapointed with myself why i choose airtel rather going with another connection of tata sky.

i was a customer with sun direct for the past 2 years and their service was pathetic so I bought Tata sky for my 26 inch LCD sony Tv. But for my surprise the picture quality is not good(sun direct was good) so i called the call center and a tech was send , he checked everything and told me that tata sky will be viewed best in ordinary TV then on a LCD Tv and asked me to change the TV. Is That true ?

I m using airtel sd box, when i purchased it from reseller they promised me something and give something, the package is entirely difference. And the most important thing is I was not in my house for 1 and half month, when i came back i found that the service is interrupted and resume only when i request for same. I dont know how long the service was interrupted, even though I paid the full money. That is totally shit.
